Over John’s 16 year career he has established a reputation as one of the most talented graphic artists in the country. In 1991 while working on a project for Detroit radio station WRIF, John met the “Motor City Madman” himself, Ted Nugent. John introduced himself as a fan and an artist. Nugent was interested in seeing samples, and was impressed with the portfolio. Soon after, Nugent commissioned Rios to design everything from stage props and backdrops to concert t-shirts and book covers. Mr. Rios’ recent work includes designing the stage backdrop for rock band Motley Crue’s 2009, Crue Fest 2 tour, and storyboards for a movie shot in Michigan this summer.

We’re proud to announce our new line of rear window graphics from artist John Rios. John has been drawing live caricatures since 1989 in and around the Detroit area. In the past few years John has begun to make a name for himself with his published caricatures being featured in magazines, on the cover of Orange County Choppers Calendar, radio station websites and promotions, CD covers, posters, T-shirts and so on.

John is the owner of Grafix Jam, Ltd. which is full service graphic design studio. “We produce graphics and illustrations for the entertainment, music, sports and toy industries.
